The three of us had enjoyed some of the benefits of being part of a large health care system, but overall we felt that private practice enables us to personalize the care we choose to deliver.

IPW is a group of independent physicians in southeastern Wisconsin that have banded together to reap some of the benefits of being part of a large multi-specialty group (e.g.- negotiating insurance company contracts, implementing an electronic medical record) while still maintaining their own unique clinic identities. We look at IPW as the support system that allows us to practice medicine independently in a competitive market.

While we no longer have any formal relationship with our previous health system, we maintain privileges at Saint Joseph’s Hospital -West Bend. Due to our not to compete clause we cannot provide services there for a period of time. When our restriction is ended, we will return to providing services at the hospital.
DOES YOUR HOSPITAL AFFILIATION AFFECT MY CARE?

Not really. Most physicians in the primary care field use a hospitalist service for inpatient admissions and care. Though some of us still provide hospital services, a formal affiliation with a hospital or hospital group should not deter you from utilizing a private practice, primary care physician. We are now free to direct you to any hospital you choose or that is allowed by your insurance carrier.

Yes. We have no desire to interfere or redirect your relationship with outside specialists and hope to maintain a positive working relationship with them. Communication in today’s technological age is easier than ever and we should be able to access to any needed medical records we would need to further your care. The specialists should have equal access to anything you had done with us as well.

We do have an onsite lab available that can perform any needed lab work. Alternatively, if you prefer to have your labs done at another facility, we can arrange for you to have labs done at a place that is convenient for you.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not have X-ray capabilities. We will however arrange for any necessary radiological tests (mammograms, X-ray, CT scans) at a facility that is convenient for you.
