"As a family medicine physician, I enjoy caring for entire families and developing lasting relationships built on trust, respect and compassion for individual situations. I approach each patient with an open-minded, nonjudgmental demeanor which allows us to work together and develop a customized plan of care for each persons unique needs and circumstances. I realize that my patients have busy lives filled with their own passions, stressors and goals that extend beyond their medical care and I attempt to incorporate that into our relationship to gain a better understanding of their needs and wants in the office. I believe that patients deserve to be seen, listened to and their concerns validated. I consider myself to be very down to earth and relatable and utilize that to put my patients at ease during an otherwise potentially stressful situation. Being a son, a husband and a father has helped me gain valuable insight into my own strengths and shortcomings which in turn has allowed me to relate to my patient's everyday struggles. Making recommendations based on what I would want for my own loved ones has led me to deliver a higher standard of care rooted in empathy and integrity and allowed my patients to preserve their dignity and sense of ownership over the health care of themselves and their families. Overall, I feel a great sense of pride being able to offer my services to the people of my community and in the places I have called home my entire life."

Dr. Tamez (Tuh-mez) remains married to his high school sweetheart since 1997. He has 2 daughters that can still melt his heart with a single word or look. He is fond of large, wrinkly-faced dogs. He is a movie aficionado, a Lego connoisseur and a big kid at heart who still enjoys all types of gaming. He is a social, relatable, everyday type of guy, who, above all, is dedicated to his family, friends, patients, community and church.
